Who we are

WealthSieve ("WealthSieve", "we", "us") runs wealthsieve.com, an AI research service that analyses listed and unlisted assets. For the personal data described here, we are the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. We never store your password itself, only a one-way salted hash of it.
  • Account activity: when you signed up, confirmed your email and last logged in, and your account type.
  • What you create: the instruments you ask us to analyse, any notes or context you type in, the AI research produced for you, and the decisions and notes you record on it.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, which our servers process to deliver pages, keep the service secure and limit abuse. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for a limited period.
  • Subscription details: if you subscribe to a paid plan, your plan, its dates, and the payment status, amount and reference that our payment processor shares with us.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email.

Payments for Pro and Pro+ are taken by Razorpay on its own secure checkout. Razorpay collects your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank account details. We do not ask for your PAN, Aadhaar or demat details, or your brokerage logins.

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie, ws_session, to keep you logged in. It is signed, not readable by scripts on the page, and expires after 7 days or when you log out. We do not use advertising, tracking or third-party analytics cookies.

How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account, confirm your email address and log you in.
  • To run the analyses you request and show you your research history and decisions.
  • To manage your plan and its analysis limits, and to match subscription payments to your account.
  • To send service emails, such as account confirmation and security notices, from no-reply@wealthsieve.com.
  • To apply fair-use limits, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service working.
  • To answer your questions and complaints.
  • To comply with the law and with lawful requests from authorities.

Why we're allowed to

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account, and for the legitimate uses permitted by section 7 of the DPDP Act, such as complying with the law. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to privacy@wealthsieve.com; we will then stop processing and delete your account, except where the law requires us to keep something. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing that happened before it. We do not sell your personal data, and we will not send you marketing emails without asking first.

AI processing

To produce research, we send the instrument you chose, related market data and any notes you type to third-party AI model providers. We do not send your name or email address with these requests. Because notes are passed on as written, please don't include personal information about yourself or anyone else in them. AI output can be wrong; WealthSieve research is for information only and is not investment advice.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only as needed to run the service, with:

  • our hosting and email provider, which stores our database and delivers our emails;
  • Razorpay, our payment processor, when you subscribe to a paid plan;
  • AI model providers, for analysis requests, as described above;
  • authorities, courts or regulators, when the law requires it; and
  • a successor business, if WealthSieve is merged or sold, under the same protections.

These parties may only use your data to provide their service to us. Market data providers never receive your personal data.

Where your data is processed

Some of our providers process data outside India. We only transfer personal data to countries that are not restricted by the Government of India under section 16 of the DPDP Act, and we expect providers to protect it to the standard this policy describes.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and research for as long as your account is open. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after an account is closed. When you ask us to delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Email confirmation links expire after 48 hours, and IP addresses used for rate limiting are held only in memory for a short time.

How we protect it

Everything is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sessions use signed cookies, and access is limited by account type: members can only see their own analyses and decisions. No system is perfectly secure, but if a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we've shared it with;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected and updated;
  • have your data erased and your account closed;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; and
  • have your complaints addressed by our grievance officer.

Email privacy@wealthsieve.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it's you before acting, and we will respond within 30 days.

Grievance officer

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data or a request, write to our grievance officer at grievance@wealthsieve.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

WealthSieve is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we'll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will email you before it takes effect.
